The 6 best AI mobile app builders for iOS and Android
Most AI app builders make web apps. They look great in a browser but cannot be installed from the App Store or Google Play.
This list only includes tools that build real mobile apps, compared on what they output, how publishing works, whether you own the code, and what it costs to ship.

Web app builder or mobile app builder?
AI builders produce one of three things. Web apps run in a browser and cannot be listed in the app stores. Wrapped web apps put a website inside a native shell, which can pass review but often feels slow and misses native features. Native apps are built with React Native, Flutter, Swift or Kotlin and behave like any app on your phone.
If your users will find you in the App Store or Google Play, you need the third kind. That is why an AI React Native app builder is a different category from a general AI app builder. Platform-specific guides cover the iOS app builder and Android app builder options in more depth.

Popular AI builders that make web apps
These tools are strong at what they do, but they build for the browser first. If you already started in one and now need a mobile app, the linked pages explain your options.
- LovableReact web apps with a Supabase backend
- v0React and Tailwind web interfaces
- Base44Simple web apps with a visual editor
- Google AI StudioGemini-powered web prototypes
- Rocket.newWeb apps from prompts
Built something in Lovable already? You can move it to RapidNative as a mobile app, or have it published to the App Store as it is.
How to choose an AI mobile app builder
Match the tool to your starting point. A written idea fits prompt to app. A mockup or screenshot fits image to app. A whiteboard drawing fits sketch to app, and a spec fits PRD to app. If you do not have a spec yet, the free PRD generator can draft one.
One codebase or two. React Native and Flutter give you iOS and Android from one project. Swift and Kotlin mean two projects, which is more work to keep in sync.
Who maintains it later. If a developer or agency will take over, pick a tool with code export in a common framework. See RapidNative for developers and for agencies.
The full cost. Compare credits, seats and published-app limits, not just the entry price. Our pricing page lists every plan, and the app cost calculator estimates a complete build.
How we picked these tools
We only included AI-first or AI-assisted tools that can produce an app for the App Store or Google Play. Each was compared on output, platforms, code export, publishing and the price of the first plan that lets you ship.
Prices come from each vendor's official pricing page and were checked on the date shown above. RapidNative is our product, so we list its limitations alongside everyone else's.
AI mobile app builders: common questions
What is the best AI mobile app builder?
For one codebase that runs on iOS and Android, RapidNative. For fully native single-platform code, Rork. For a general coding agent that also does web, Replit Agent. For visual control with AI help, FlutterFlow or Draftbit.
Can Lovable or v0 build a mobile app?
Not a native one. They generate web apps that run in a browser. You can wrap a web app in a native shell, but it will not feel or perform like a native app. To ship to the App Store, use a tool that outputs React Native, Flutter, Swift or Kotlin.
Can I build a mobile app with AI without coding?
Yes. AI-first builders such as RapidNative and Rork generate the app from a description, and you refine it by chatting. You only touch code if you want to.
Why do so many AI app builders use React Native?
React Native lets one TypeScript codebase run on iOS and Android, and AI models have seen a lot of React code. Expo then handles builds and store submission, which makes it a practical target for AI-generated apps.
Can AI-built apps be published to the App Store?
Yes, if the builder outputs a native app. Apple still reviews every app, so you need an Apple Developer account, real content and a privacy policy. Some tools submit for you; others leave the build and submission to you.
How much does an AI mobile app builder cost?
Most have a free plan to try. Paid plans that let you ship start around $15 to $25 per month. Watch for limits on credits, seats and published apps, which drive the real cost.
